I recently came across this editorial from Another Magazine from back in December called Pigalle My Love. I am always drawn to anything with even a hint of 20's but in this case, it also rang another bell. It had such a strong high dandy by way of 1970's feel that I couldn't help but think of Jacques Bescher. For anyone who hasn't read A Beautiful Fall (you really should, it's such a good read) it was exactly they style which he had adopted when he first rose to the height of Paris fashion world as Karl's kept man.... and the resemblance between him and this editorial is quite striking.

gorgeous editorial. I still need to read that book.
What beautiful photographs! Wonderful post as usual!
xx
Very striking and that editorial is fantastic. I rather like it because it seems a mix of eras, a combination of elements that make it unique and one's own. This is what I want to do with my 20s inspiration. The obvious styles are known, but how to make it my own...hm...
this is really cute
these are very pretty.
i see the 20s and 70s combination too... never thought the two could go well together but in these pictures they really do.
wow the pics are very dior couture. great post and blog!
Great post, thanks for sharing!!
Bescher typified a true dandy in every aspect of his kept self absorbed life. But I wish there were more pictures of him in A Beautiful Fall!
I wish I could dress like this all the time. The dandy style always reminds me of this movie I saw called Dear Wendy. The kids in the movie dressed like this editorial and were major gunslingers, it was sort of awesome!
I've tagged you with a Premio Award!
Check my blog for the details.

Delish pics! They totally feel relevant for fall's girly glamour :)
the second image is more than great!
Wow such stunning photos.
Great post!
Yes! The film is making me want such deep plunging necklines, but I will probably bust out of said garments! The back of that dress you liked, was a thin, sequined, t-strap--I thought that was quite cool and modern as well.
That book is so good...one of my favorite books ever! It is so sad how Jacques died of aids...
