Helmut Lang A/W 2011

I was so happy to see the invite from the Helmut Lang showroom to preview the fall collection I of course has to accept. The pieces were even more impressive in person than they are in photos, tons of special details like embroidery, hardware that looks like barbells used as closures, clusters of geometric beads and in-house designed graphics printed on various dresses and tops were some of the really exciting things on their many racks. I still can't stop thinking about how to snag one of their leather jackets, who needs rent when you can stay warm and fabulous in your asymmetric Helmut Lang leather jacket anyway?

PS: I don't want to ignore the icing on the cake.... the bags were so cool! The handles looked like whips and the shoulder bag had zippers going all around so you wouldn't ever have to part with your favorite accessory..... not even for a second.
