I'm really excited to announce The Vintage Redux Contest. The lovely boutique Fancy French Cologne and one of my favorite blogs For Me, For You have teamed up with me to bring you this really cool contest that combines everyone's favorite things..... vintage clothes, fashion and free stuff and mixes it all up and serves it to you in a nice tall highball with a sprig of mint.

To participate in the contest, submit a photo of a garment that you find very inspiring and that you feel has stood the test of time. It can be a great shot of Francoise Hardy in a modish mini dress or something more personal from your family album. The photo should date from the 1930's to the 1980's and should contain either a dress or a blouse that will then be reworked by yours truly into an updated redesign. The winner will receive one garment and two runners up will get $50 gift certificates to shop till they drop at Fancy French Cologne. The reworked garment will also be available for purchase at over FFC....

Vintage Redux Contest Rules

1. Email an image (jpg or tiff) of your vintage icon to vintageredux@fancyfrenchcologne.com

a. Indicate in your email what article of clothing you’re entering

b. Your entry must be a top or a dress

c. Entries should reflect vintage styles from the eras between 1930-1980

d. (optional) Let us know who she is! Is there a story or reason why you love her style or this particular item?

2. All entries must be received by Sunday, May 29^th at 11:59 PM.

3. Post a comment below about your entry to share with everyone! (optional)

The Fine Print

Winners

1. If you win, you’ll get a recreation of your iconic item–made especially for you by NY-based designer Vain & Vapid! Two runners up will also win gift certificates for $50 to Fancy French Cologne.

2. Three finalists will be announced on Wednesday, June 1^st, 2011.
3. Winners will be announced on Monday, June 6^th, 2011.

Judging

1. The contest will be judged by Fancy French Cologne, For Me, For You and Vain and Vapid.

2. FFC, FMFY, and Vain + Vapid will choose 3 finalists. The 3 finalists will be posted on FMFY, and the readers of FMFY will choose the final winner.
